UVL is located in a very unique part of the world with a history of unusual phenomena. We feel it's prudent to mention some of the potential risks associated with spending time in this area and initiating a relationship with the forces that reside here.

Many people have reported transformative, life-changing experiences as a result of spending time in the area. While some would probably summarize their experience as "positive" and some "negative", or a mixture of both, in all cases their life and perspective was significantly, sometimes radically, altered through their engagement with this area. Based on our own experiences, and those of others, we feel that this area often acts as a powerful catalyst for personal transformation. It can shake you up at a very deep level. Therefore, we want to emphasize that The Great Work of transforming one's own consciousness can be unpredictable, unstable, even painful and unsettling at times, but ultimately worthwhile. However, as with most things in life, there are no guarantees. This is the real deal.

We recommend approaching this area with respect, reverence, and positive intention. Establishing the appropriate "set" and "setting" are vitally important, which is one of the primary purposes of UVL.

THE PHENOMENON
Director James Fox’s documentary “The Phenomenon” (2021) is regarded by many as one of the most comprehensive studies on what is generally referred to as “the UFO phenomenon”. It’s a great starting point for anyone interested in the contemporary cultural awareness of the broad subject matter.
HUNT FOR THE SKINWALKER
Hunt for the Skinwalker is the title of the 2005 book written by George Knapp & Colm Kelleher Ph.D. regarding the local study of The Mysteries focusing on a nearby property. It is also the title of the 2018 documentary of the same name made by Jeremy Corbell and George Knapp. We recommend familiarizing yourself with both prior to visiting the Uintah Basin.

There are many other examples of media that do a great job illustrating the challenges of answering the call which you may want to check out, such as films like Jacob’s Ladder, Take Shelter, and Horse Girl. Phillip K. Dick’s VALIS is a great literary example of the perspective of someone who believes they are interfacing with a greater non-human intelligence.
